Kakwitè:ne nikahá:wi: A Call and Response to Spring is a tribute to the season featuring eight artistic performances. Ranging from music to dance to fashion, the performances are shown in a 29-minute film that’s projected outdoors on the west side of Meridian Hall in a free event that invites everyone to see, listen, and respond. Conceived and directed by multidisciplinary artist Santee Smith, the film uses the call-and-response format to welcome the awakening of Iethi'nisténha Ohóntsa/Mother Earth and share ideas about rejuvenation, renewal, and growth.
