Engaging with Dance in April
Following the latest public health update from the Government of Ontario, art venues, spaces and companies have begun to re-open their doors for more in-person experiences around the city of Toronto! Here are a few to check out this month both online and in-person:
westside movement sessions
April 17th, 18th, 20th, 26th, 27th

westside movement sessions are back at The Railpath Arts Centre! westside movement sessions is a responsive platform for artists to exercise their skill sets in sharing their dance and movement-based practices with the community. Each session will be unique as they will focus on the individual interests, questions and physical practices of the facilitator leading them and the participants who are present. Don’t miss the last two sessions in the series with Mateo Galido Torres and Rumi Jeraj. For more information and to register for the classes, fill out the google form here.
Face to Face
April 20th – 30th, 8:00pm EDT
Citadel + Compagnie’s Bright Nights presents Naishi Wang’s Face to Face. Face to Face is a conceptual dance/body theatre duet. This project explores the complexity of human emotions in real space by looking at Emoji characters in the cyber reality to find connections of the nonverbal forms of communication.
Wul A Medz

Have a poem or talent you want to share? Head to Clinton’s for Wul A Medz Poetry Night & Talent Show. Bring a friend, a poem or any art form/talent you have under your belt. The event is a safe space for all creative and identities. Limited tickets are available here.
