Engaging with Arts: September

This September, check out what Toronto’s incredible artists have been up to:

Hard wire

Sept 13 – 16

The Citadel

Hard wire follows two scientists through a psychological journey and an embodied study of rocks and permanency. Their archeological dig leads to a deeper reflection on life in the face of a climate in crisis. Felt through the lens of two millennial-ish women, they fight to reconcile with humanity’s inaction and deflection in determining how, and if we move forward.

Memoir & Movement

Sept 13 onwards – every Wednesday

Intergalactic Arts Collective Studio

Memoir & Movement is a dynamic multi-disciplinary workshop that draws on the uniqueness of each person’s lived experience and is designed to expand an artist's personal & professional scope of practice. Drawing on creative tools, skills and practices from contemporary dance improvisation, literary memoir, voice work, poetry and clown, Sara leads a playful approach to exploring and expanding creative terrain. Participants gain fuller access to breath and vocal range, refine their writing skills, extend and expand movement vocabulary, awaken senses and find flexibility of imagination. Participants investigate past & current perspectives and practice to generate movement, image, sensations and stories that tell us who we are. On stage and in life. Don't just tell the story - be the story.
